  • Cleanroom and Dryroom Compatibility: Battery cells must be assembled in dryrooms with dew points below -40°C to -60°C. Stainless steel does not outgas, degrade, or release particulate matter, preserving cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644-1 Class 5 or higher).
  • Extreme Load Capacity: Automated battery pack assembly involves handling heavy battery modules and packs, often weighing hundreds of kilograms to several tons. High-tensile stainless steel threads ensure safe support under static and dynamic loads.

The manufacturing process of lithium-ion batteries is highly complex, divided into front-end (electrode manufacturing), middle-end (cell assembly), and back-end (formation, testing, and pack integration) stages. In each of these stages, stainless steel adjustable feet perform critical functions:

1. Electrode Coating and Calendering Equipment

In the front-end stage, active materials are coated onto copper or aluminum foils and then compressed (calendered) to achieve the desired density and thickness. The calendering machine exerts immense pressure on the foils. Adjustable leveling feet used under these machines must feature extra-fine threads for precise height micro-adjustments, ensuring that the rollers are perfectly horizontal. Leveling feet made of Grade 316 stainless steel, equipped with vulcanized FDA-approved rubber pads, provide the necessary chemical resistance. The hygienic design prevents any accumulation of chemical residues, facilitating easy washdowns and maintenance.

3. Battery Module and Pack Assembly Lines

Once individual cells are produced, they are grouped into modules and then integrated into large battery packs. Battery packs for electric vehicles (EVs) and utility-scale energy storage systems (ESS) are extremely heavy, often exceeding 500 kg. The automated conveyor systems that transport these packs must remain perfectly level to prevent conveyor belt misalignment or package slippage. Heavy-duty stainless steel adjustable feet with wide base plates distribute the load evenly across the factory floor, minimizing localized stress and preventing structural deformation over years of continuous operation.

4. Outdoor Energy Storage System (ESS) Cabinets
